About Dr. Sunit Chandra Singhi
Dr. Sunit Chandra Singhi is an internationally acclaimed paediatrician and pediatric intensivist, currently serving as the Head of Paediatrics at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad. With more than four decades of experience, he is widely recognized for his pioneering contributions to pediatric critical care medicine in India.
Dr. Singhi was formerly the Head of the Advanced Pediatric Centre at PGIMER, Chandigarh, where he led for over 33 years, and later served as Chairman of Paediatrics at Medanta – The Medicity for 5 years. He also held the position of Principal and Head of Department at MM Institute of Medical Sciences, Ambala.
He established India’s first Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) and introduced the first DM (Doctorate of Medicine) course in Pediatric Critical Care in India. His academic and clinical excellence have made him one of the most respected names in global pediatrics.
He has also served as a Visiting Professor at Boston Children’s Hospital (Harvard Medical School, USA) and Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital, Stockholm, Sweden. With more than 440 peer-reviewed publications, 79 textbook chapters, and 11 authored books, Dr. Singhi has contributed immensely to pediatric medical education and research.
