About Dr. Pravas Mishra
Dr. Pravas Mishra is a highly respected Hematologist, Hemato-Oncologist, and Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) specialist with over 17 years of post-DM experience. He is currently the Professor in the Department of Hematology, Medical Oncology & BMT at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad.
Dr. Mishra completed his MBBS, followed by MD (Internal Medicine) from the prestigious Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (MGIMS), Wardha, Maharashtra. He later earned his DM in Clinical Hematology from AIIMS, New Delhi, one of India’s most reputed medical institutions.
He served at AIIMS, New Delhi for 15 years, where he progressed to become Professor of Hematology, contributing extensively to academic research and patient care. Dr. Mishra has performed hundreds of stem cell and bone marrow transplants, including matched unrelated donor and haploidentical transplants for both adult and pediatric hematological disorders.
He has also trained at some of the world’s most prestigious centers, including King’s College (London), Hammersmith Hospital (London), Westmead Hospital (Sydney), and City of Hope Hospital (Los Angeles). Prior to joining Amrita, he was Senior Director of Hematology, Oncology & BMT at Max Super Speciality Hospital (Patparganj & Vaishali), where he established the Blood and Marrow Transplant unit.
Dr. Mishra is the current Chairperson of the ICMR Subcommittee on Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and has authored over 100 publications in peer-reviewed journals and several textbook chapters in the fields of hematology and oncology.
