Dr. Pramod Kumar Julka is one of India’s most respected and experienced oncologists, having over 46 years of expertise in cancer care, medical teaching, and clinical research. Dr. Julka, who is currently the Vice Chairman of Medical and Paediatric Oncology at Max Healthcare in New Delhi, is well-known for his pioneering contributions to cancer therapy in India. He performed the country’s first peripheral blood stem cell transplant after high-dose chemotherapy in metastatic breast cancer, which was recognised by the Limca Book of Records in 1998.

Dr. Julka got his MD in Radiotherapy from Maulana Azad Medical College in New Delhi, and advanced training from M.D. Anderson Cancer Centre (USA) under a WHO Fellowship, as well as Long Beach Memorial Cancer Centre in California.

He has written over 250 peer-reviewed articles and the book Becoming a Successful Clinical Trial Investigator. His clinical interests encompass all cancer types, including breast, gastrointestinal, gynaecologic, head and neck, paediatric, neuro, and haematologic cancers.
