Dr. Manoj Luthra

Dr. Manoj Luthra is a renowned Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgeon (CTVS) with over 40 years of medical expertise, now working as Vice Chairman of Cardiac Surgery at Max Super Speciality Hospital in Noida. He is well-known for his clinical precision, leadership in cardiac surgery, and significant contributions to medical education and paediatric cardiac care in India.

Dr. Luthra began his medical career at the Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC) in Pune, where he later received his Master of Cardiac Surgery (M.Ch). His international training includes a fellowship in Coronary Artery Surgery from the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, Australia, as well as work as a Senior Registrar in Cardiac Surgery for the NHS in the United Kingdom. He has held several distinguished positions, including Dean and Professor at AFMC Pune and Head of Cardiac Surgery at Army Hospital (R&R), Delhi.

He was the first cardiac surgeon in the Indian Armed Forces to successfully conduct a heart transplant, and he has led numerous challenging neonatal and paediatric cardiac procedures, making him a sought-after expert in high-risk cardiovascular treatment. Dr. Luthra has authored numerous indexed research publications, as well as an Elsevier textbook on Paediatric Cardiac Intensive Care.
