Dr. Ameet Pispati

Dr. Ameet Pispati is a well regarded and internationally educated orthopaedic surgeon with over 29 years of expertise in joint replacement, arthroscopy, and sports medicine. He is currently the Director of Orthopaedics at Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai, where he is known for his expertise in hip and knee replacement, robotic and computer-navigated operations, arthroscopy, and joint preservation techniques.

Following his MBBS and MS in Orthopaedics in India, Dr. Pispati pursued additional studies and overseas fellowships, acquiring important degrees such as an MCh (Orthopaedics) from Liverpool, UK, and an FRCS in Trauma & Orthopaedics from the Royal Colleges, UK. He also has degrees and fellowships from Germany and the United States, having trained with pioneers in minimally invasive and kinematically aligned knee replacement operations.

Dr. Pispati worked at Rush University Medical Centre in the United States and received training from Dr. Stephen Howell, the originator of Kinematically Aligned TKR, as well as German authorities in hip arthroscopy and preservation surgery. With a strong emphasis on quick post-operative recovery, he creates care regimens for patients ranging from professional athletes to older folks.

He has also acted as the Indian Cricket Team’s official doctor and treated patients from the United Kingdom, the United States, the Middle East, and Africa, bolstering his worldwide reputation and patient confidence.
