About Dr Shomeshwar Singh
Dr. Shomeshwar Singh, an internationally renowned Senior Consultant in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) and Cochlear Implant Surgery, has over 25 years of medical experience. He received his training in India (1990-1999) and the United Kingdom (2000-2008), and his practice is internationally recognized for its therapeutic competence.
Dr. Singh presently oversees one of India’s largest and most successful cochlear implant programs, with a long history of procedures and consistently excellent patient outcomes. Many of his clinical findings have been published on reputable scientific venues.
He is a distinguished mentor and surgical teacher who actively promotes the formation of new cochlear implant facilities through his well-known ACIC – Annual Cochlear Implant Course – which provides ENT doctors with hands-on surgical training.
In addition to his surgical achievements, Dr. Singh is a pioneer in the field of hearing rehabilitation. He is the creator of See Sound Live (SSL), a revolutionary assistive technology that allows the hearing impaired to develop speech. SSL is currently undergoing trials in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
His contributions to medical science have earned him numerous national accolades, including the coveted BIRAC Innovator Award, which was bestowed by India’s Vice President in 2020.
